Photographs from the EDL Demonstration in Dewsbury on 11 June 2011

By • on June 11, 2011

Here we have some photographs from the EDL demonstration in Dewsbury.

As a result of the intransigence and lack of proper respect and cooperation from local authorities there will now be a new nationally organised EDL demonstration in Dewsbury. It is not acceptable for EDL supporters to be caged up when Islamists are given the freedom of the town. The way the EDL have been treated at this demo is completely unacceptable and an abject apology is needed from the West Yorkshire police who treated them so shamefully and without respect. If this costs local taxpayers for the follow up demo then those taxpayers need to confront local officials and ask them why they discriminate against the English! If such expense cannot be afforded then surely money should be taken away from the aid given to Pakistan effectively for its nuclear weapons programme (money given in aid to Pakistan means that the Pakistani Government can divert money needed by its own impoverished people to its atomic weapons programme). Britain obviously has money to spare and money spent on the democratic rights of the English people is money well spent. Such money will be spent by the bucket load in the near future as the EDL asserts the democratic rights of the English.

Here is a speech by former Dewsbury MP Shaid Malik:

If Shahid had his way would Britain already by under the yoke of sharia law? Sharia law will NEVER be accepted and any attempts to implement it in ANY WAY will be resisted. The British Government should take note, and adjust its policies accordingly. Sharia is not acceptable to the British people and if the Government continues its current course then the people will rise up against it. England is free and will remain so whatever the political elite have in their tiny and irrelevant little minds.

The Social

Most people met at a pub in Batley prior to the demonstration; another two pubs in the area opened to accomodate the EDL activists. This became the usual EDL pre-demo social event at which local strategy was discussed. It is amazing how well local, national, and international strategy dovetail seamlessly:

The March

The EDL protesters then marched with a police escort from the pubs to Batley railway station.

The police counted about 50 people onto a waiting train, the rest of the EDL people were put onto buses to Dewsbury.

The Cage

The main reason why EDL will be organising a national demonstration in Dewsbury was because EDL supporters were made to demonstrate inside this cage rather than outside the town hall. Would the authorities treat Muslims in this shameful manner?

Sit down protest – there was a reluctance to enter the cage.

The Demo

Tommy Robinson commits the EDL to a national demonstration in Dewsbury due to the intransigence of local authorities and a great reluctance to treat the EDL fairly. There were about 1000 people there for this locally organised demo. The national demonstration in Dewsbury will be much bigger probably with many thousands present from all corners of the country and perhaps from even further afield.

The EDL will be returning to Dewsbury after Tower Hamlets

It will be a nationally organised demo so there should be many more people present.

Well done EDL this country needs barbaric sharia law like a hole in the head, radical Islam has no place in the UK and will be resisted at all cost. The police have not listened to the people and spearhead this countries EU agenda, of multiculturism, diversity and eventual take over of this country. The British people are the obstacle in their way and all is being done to discredit, disenfranchise and divide us. Hitler started the EEC at the end of WWII and Ted Heath signed up to it during the 70s and Blair and Brown really handed the lot to the EU just before loosing office to the Conservative party. Muslims in their tens of thousands joined Hitlers troops (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00t3ybj). So now we are being flooded with Muslims and other immigrants to further the EU aim of a federal Europe with a dictatorship answerable to no one. Get real people this is happening now!!!!
