The following letter has been sent to various newspapers around Australia.

It would be progressive thinking and action on the part of our Politicians to instigate a new assisted migrant scheme.

Anyone whose religion involves the rejection of the democratic basis and the central values of Australian society, should be given financial assistance to relocate to a country that’s compatible with their religious beliefs.

Tolerance of the beliefs of others is a central value of Australian society.

It’s a straightforward matter to determine those religious groupings and individuals that do not embrace tolerance.

Simply ask whether to not they would be prepared to allow one of the children to marry a non-believer or to reject their parent’s religious beliefs.

Such a scheme would be of particular benefit to those who embrace that branch of the Muslim religion that rejects democracy and who wish to live under Sharia Law.

Clearly, it would be progressive thinking and action to facilitate such groupings and individuals to attain their goal by migrating to a predominately Muslim country.

No one should be made to live under a social system that they see as an affront to their religious beliefs.

Equally, no one should be expected to sit back and do nothing while the social system in which they believe is attacked from within or from without.

A primary duty of our Politicians is to defend our social system against such attacks.

A new assisted migrant scheme would be a win for all concerned.
