Transcript of Speech delivered by Tommy Robinson in Leeds on 31 October 2009
We gather again to push back the Islamic forces which demand Sharia law for every man, woman and child in this country — for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
We raise our voices today in protest here in Leeds and also in London.
We raise our voices to wake up our brothers and sisters in this country to the threat of Islamic domination that will only grow stronger day by day unless more people join the counter-jihad and counter-Sharia movements.
We raise our voices to send a signal to the Government and demand that they take our concerns seriously and stop accommodating and giving money to these forces of Sharia.
And if you are awake to this threat but still on the sidelines, we raise our voices in order to increase your confidence and courage to take action in some fashion sometime soon.
Our soldiers are fighting, suffering and dying in Afghanistan and previously in Iraq. They do so as part of this great democracy but ironically both countries are committed to Sharia.
Let us remind ourselves what Sharia means on freedom of speech, conscience, and protest. All we need do is look at a few examples from other countries.
In Pakistan, the Criminal Code articles 295 and 298 have shut down any freedom of speech as regards Islam. The blaspheme laws are a rod to beat down and kill the non-Muslim population.
In Saudi Arabia, in 2007 the religious police beat little school girls back into their burning building because they were not properly covered.
In Egypt, converts from Islam have to either flee the country or go into hiding.
In Iran, protesters are gunned down in the street for declaring their lack of confidence in and support for the recent presidential elections.
And in this country we are apparently not allowed to have an opinion that can be in anyway construed as being negative about Islam.
Publishers are threatened if they reprint cartoons of Mohammed or a story about Mohammed’s first wife, Aisha.
On the international scene, the Organisation of Islamic Conference is pushing to declare that criticism of religion is against the law. By religion they really mean, of course, Islam.
In a court case coming up in December a couple are charged with a ‘religiously aggravated offence’ for supposedly making critical comments in the presence of a Muslim woman. The couple are alleged to have said that Mohammed, the founder of Islam, was a warlord and that Muslim dress for women was a form of bondage.
For those who say we are racists,
We ask: What race is Islam? What race are Muslims?
Sharia – the rule by a so-called Allah means the domination of non-Muslims. It is a central teaching of Islam and rooted in the Qur’an and the example of Mohammed, the founder of Islam.
But the English Defence League stands here today and in London to say that we will not be a slave to Allah and Allah’s representatives here on earth. We will not submit. We are free men and women today, tomorrow and forever.

Lord pearson’s interview and everything i am seeing, hearing and reading like the text above is begining to frighten me.Everything i watch or read i see this desease called islam intruding on our lives and i do not see the Govenment doing anything to stop it.All i have seen the Govenment do is sweep it under the carpet and give them more money to plot and conspire against us with.Someone in power needs to take this threat seriously or you will see civil war one day because i cannot see British citizens of all creeds and there are many, just rolling over to islam. But it needs to be dealt with now before the bloodshed, our leaders need to stop treading on egg shells when the word muslim or islam comes up.Deal with it you bunch of weak men!
